About Tony
Hi, my name is Tony Teegarden. I want to thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet.
My background is varied and not at all like many people would expect. My road to success & consciousness has been long and winding. Each experience has lent to the self that I expose today…
I’m not a personal development Guru. I’m probably someone much like yourself who is tapping into a level of consciousness where I am able to serve and feel fulfilled working on my life purpose.
My Beginnings
My journey started when I was born in Georgia by a 17 yr old single mother. I don’t know my father and haven’t even seen a picture of him to this day which is 36 years later. I was raised by my Great Grandparents who I found out years later reluctantly raised me.
It wasn’t a house where emotions where left on the table and I remember being told we love you less than the five fingers on my right hand. I was told a roof over my head was good enough to share they cared.
By the age of 8 my mother decided she was in a position where she wanted custody of me again. I moved to Iowa to live with her, my step father and 5 brothers. (3 step and 2 half brothers) I was excited to say the least because I was going to have a “Mom & a Dad.” This was a short lived 5 months where child abuse was rampant and I ended up going back to living with my grandparents and great aunt.
From the time I was born till I was 13 I had lived in Georgia, Florida, Iowa, back to Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, back to Georgia and finally by age 13 I was back in Florida. (No it wasn’t a Military thing either) I was a bit of a gypsy lifestyle however there were some good things that came from this and impacted parts of my life in a big way.
Self Expression Revealed
In Kentucky I started playing violin. I ended up being a classically trained violinist for just about 8 years where I was featured on the on the front page of the Tampa Tribune for try outs of the Florida Junior Orchestra. (Which I did qualify for!) I later laid down the violin and picked up the electric guitar where I jumped feet first into heavy metal and later what was called Death Metal.
In high school I was a mediocre student where I was mostly a C student at best. However music was my main interest. One thing that later came to serve me in my online career was my 3 years of TV production in high school.
Florida was considered the Death Metal capital of the world back in the early 90’s and my first and only band I assisted in forming was Epitaph which opened for internationally known Pantera in 1991.
This eventually lead me to lend my death metal talents to an internationally known band called Cynic in 1993. I recorded my vocals for the band on their RoadRunner Records released album, Focus. I ended up touring Europe in support of the album and even had my 21st birthday in Poland playing in front of 10,000 fans. This was by far one of the best birthdays ever!
If you were to read the lyrics written by Paul Masvidal of the album Focus you’d see even back in those days the spiritual vein ran very thick through my life and I even started my meditation practices in ‘92 and 93′.
Major Life Direction Change
In 1994 I made the change from the music world to the business world where I went into the manufactured housing industry. This is where I got my 7 years of hard knocks college in the world of business. However I also got my first taste of financial success. By the age of 23 I was making nearly $50,000 a year and was spending as much as I made on drugs and alcohol while attempting to fill a void in my soul. I nearly died twice from drugs and eventually walked away from this career but not with out gaining one major insight that fascinated me…human behavior.
Within all of this chaos I was given one of the most influential books in my life in ‘95 by Wayne Dyer called Real Magic. My spiritual journey had another notch in it.
By age 27 I had made the decision to walk away from the manufactured home industry, had been married and eventually went full time with a 37 yr old NYSE listed network marketing/direct sales company called Prepaid legal Services Inc. 9 Years later I am with them still and enjoying a successful business with them as an independent associate. I’ve spoken in front of as many as 15,000 associates in our corporate conference in Las Vegas telling my personal account of what it means to make it through adversity.
In the network marketing industry personal development is a big part of the culture. Keeping yourself incubated from the negativity of news, TV, magazines and acquaintances can be a full time job in itself. It’s what many entrepreneurs do in order to stay focused and on track with their endeavors. Even in the midst of a divorce in 2005 where I found myself starting all over from scratch, I started living what I had been preaching. This was again the a major change in life I hadn’t planned on.
Jumping Into The Online World
I found blogging 4 years ago because one of my close friends insisted that it’s something I would be good at. He said I could impact a lot more people with my message of personal development and support than if I didn’t. VERY reluctantly I went forward. So for going on almost 5 years I’ve been blogging. This actually lead me to be featured in Joe Vitale’s book Expect Miracles based on my experience in blogging. Little did I know that I was learning vital social media skills in the meantime. Using social media and our implementation of it tends to expose or promote our level of consciousness with in our new online world. This is where I like to explore and raise the consciousness of new people engaging online behavior every day.
All the while I’ve been fascinated by human behavior and coined my own exploration of it, Human SEO.
SEO stands for Self Exploration Optimization. Going within and exploring your many selves on a deeper level and optimizing your many selves for a more fruitful and fulfilling life experience is of up most importance to live authentically while in a fast pace world.
